Nitronic 50
Nitronic 50 Stainless Steel is a nitrogen strengthened alloy belonging to family of austenitic stainless steel. This alloy has a blend of corrosion resistance and strength not found in any other commercial grade available in its price range. Nitronic 50 has slightly better corrosion resistance than both type 316 & 316L stainless steel and nearly twice the yield strength. Additionally Nitronic 50 maintains high strength at both sub-zero and elevated temperatures.
Nitronic alloy 50 is typically used for making bolting and other parts for use in marine equipments, chemical processing stream and similar applications where combination of high strength and corrosion resistance is required. Boltport usually stock round bars in Nitronic 50 (Xm-19).
