Socket Weld 45-Degree Elbows are forged type pipe fitting component used to change the direction of run pipe to 45-degree.
These 45-degree socket-weld Elbows are manufactured by means of hot forging using a closed die pattern pressed under enough force to form the desired shape. The shaped forged blank is then machined to required dimensions and tolerances, followed by heat treatment, surface finish and product marking.
Forged Socket Weld 45 Degree Elbows are used in high pressure piping preferably under 2” NPS. These 45-degree socket weld elbows owe its great strength due to its fine grain structure developed during its manufacturing process and high leakage integrity to its fillet type seal welds.
Available from 1/8" up to 4" in Class 3000, 1/8" to 2" in Class 6000 and from 1/2" up to 2" in Class 9000. Classified under ANSI/ASME B16.11 and BS 3799 standards, these 45-degree socket-weld elbows can be manufactured across plain steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex steel, super duplex alloys, high nickel-based alloy, exotic alloys, titanium, etc. We supply socket weld 45-degree elbows certified to various ASTM forging specifications.
